The (+) button and the quick access menu

Log an expense in two taps, no forms needed

What it's for

To log daily expenses without wasting time. You leave the supermarket, pull out your phone, two taps: €47.80, groceries, done. No choosing an account, no typing a concept, no opening a form.

When you'll use it

  • Morning coffee, lunch, Friday drinks.
  • The petrol station, the newsstand, the pharmacy, a one-off Amazon purchase.
  • Any one-off, unpredictable expense. If an expense repeats somewhat regularly — you go to the supermarket every Friday and spend about €90 — it's better to add it as a weekly recurring item and adjust the amount when you confirm it: the forecast will be more accurate.
  • To confirm forecast movements that already happened: if the bank charged your mortgage, it appears at the top so you can mark it as done.

How it works

Tap the + button in the bottom-right corner (Dashboard or card view in Movements). A panel opens with two zones:

  • Top: pending. Forecast movements whose date has passed. Tap one to confirm it.
  • Bottom: quick access. Your usual categories. Tap one and a minimal form opens with the expense almost ready: you just need to enter the amount.

Example: the coffee button

You set up a quick access called "Coffee" with account = "Salary account", category = "Restaurants", concept = "Coffee", amount = 1.80. When you leave the café: open Cuéntamo, tap +, tap "Coffee", save. Two taps. No thinking.

Customise it

You choose which categories appear, in what order, with which icons. You can:

  • Pre-set the account, concept and even amount on each button.
  • Group buttons into submenus to avoid cluttering the screen (e.g. a "Car" submenu with fuel, tolls, parking).
  • Reorder by dragging.

Access: Settings → Account book → Quick access, or the edit icon on the panel itself.

Tips

  • In the card view of Movements, long-press the + button to create a recurring item directly, without going through the panel.
  • If an expense becomes predictable (e.g. you log "coffee" every day), turn it into a daily recurring item.
  • The "Other" button opens the full form, in case you need an unusual category or a transfer.
